Aromamedical by Martin Watt. If you are an Aromatherapist you may believe that Martin's site is controversial. He does not support most aromatherapy trade organisations. In 1986, Martin Watt qualified as a Medical Herbalist in the UK following three and a half years of full time training. Also, in 1986, he qualified as a masseur. For many years prior to his formal training, he had been deeply involved in growing, processing and using a wide variety of herbs. Martin believes that none of the Aromatherapy trade organisations apart from the IATA (in Canada) www.aromas-iata.com have undertaken an evaluation of the accuracy of what their members are teaching. Hence he believes that this is part responsible for allowing a tremendous amount of poor quality education in aromatherapy to continue, as well as providing platforms for dishonest individuals and trading practices. I feel that this site is a must for all aromatherapy students.

The Big Green Gathering is Britain's largest and liveliest Green event. It is a festival of Green Awareness, Green Ideas, and Green Campaigning. I am afraid it is a lottery, and I feel that being a member of any one of these organisations does not guarantee you a good therapist.
